I’m William Borden
I was born and raised in Connecticut, with a calling to Michigan's beautiful forests, meadows, and lakes becoming my own personal backyard.

Relationship with nature
I love nature and adventure. My youth was spent hiking, camping, and going on road trips, it’s how I think we can reconnect our souls with the nature around us and ground us back to what really matters.
Starting at an early age
For as long as I can remember I have been infatuated with how pictures could recall a moment and share stories. As I grew up I would on and off have a camera in my hand until Cellphone cameras really took off and were more convenient.
Reintroduced to Film
During peak of COVID shutdown, my wife and I started Geocaching to help us get outside. In our travels we ran across a Canon AE-1 in the middle of the woods at dusk with rain expected overnight. I took it as a sign to throw myself into learning the basics of exposure. After the first roll of film was developed, I immediately was captivated on how film captured the world. Personally I found myself gravitating towards the Fujicolor 200
Entering Digital Photography
In December 2022 my truck was broken into, and all of the film camera gear was stolen. This was the tipping point for either quitting photography or doubling down by picking up digital camera. I loved the AE-1 so much and how film captured everything. After saving some cash I was able to pick up a used Fujifilm X-T30.
