Finding My Way

Inspiration from Film

These images come from a period when I was fully immersed in shooting film. I mostly reached for Fuji 200 because it was easy to find, but I loved experimenting with Kodak Gold, Portra, and Ilford HP5+ whenever I could. A couple of specialty rolls — Psych Blues and Cinestill 800T — pushed me even further, introducing colors and textures I hadn’t seen before.

Each film stock brought its own personality, and paired with the character of the Canon AE‑1, they shaped the way I see and photograph today. The grain, the imperfections, the surprises — all of it continues to influence my style and the way I approach every shot.
